Fostering Social Worker - Barrow/Workington£40-£45 per hour3 days per week in officeAssessment of Potential Foster Carers: Conducting home visits and interviews to evaluate the suitability of prospective foster parents.Placement of Children: Matching children with appropriate foster families based on the child's needs and the carer's capabilities. Coordinating the transition of children into foster homes, ensuring it is as smooth as possible.Supporting Foster Families: Providing ongoing support and guidance to foster carers. Offering emotional support and resources to foster families.Supervision and Monitoring: Child Welfare and Advocacy and Regularly visiting foster homes to monitor the child's well-being and the carer's performance.Advocating for the Child: Ensuring that the child's needs are met, including educational, medical, and emotional requirements.Training Foster Carers: Organising and delivering training sessions for foster carers on various topics, such as child development, trauma, and behaviour management.Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of all interactions, assessments, and decisions.
